Dani Young launches the next chapter of her music with her sultry new single Alibi. Described as the soundtrack for James Bond starring in a Spaghetti Western film, the song is dripping in attitude.
Dani Young is a country blues artist who catapulted onto the scene with a Golden Guitar nomination for her debut album ‘Desert Water’ – recorded with Aboriginal elder Warren H Williams. The album reached #2 on the ARIA Country Albums chart.
Alibi is about seeing through the deceptive tactics of a manipulative person, and standing up for yourself. It combines a twangy cowboy western guitar with contemporary alt-country stylings and a soulful vocal to deliver a catchy and powerful song that leaves a unique mark on the country genre.
Alibi was produced by Jeremy Edwards, mixed by ARIA-winner Shane Nicholson, and co-written with Katie Jayne. The song’s energy was captured by recording the band playing together in the studio.
2021 has been a successful year for Dani Young, after writing and recording a song for the internationally awarded film ‘Stille Nacht’, now streaming on SBS on Demand, and featuring on a charity single for Drought Angels alongside legendary guitarist Albert Lee and 70s pop star Marty Rhone.
Now, Young kick-starts her live touring with a hometown launch show for her new single Alibi at The Foundry in Sydney, before joining the Country Cares Arena Tour to help relieve the mental health crisis throughout regional Queensland.
