Cunnamulla Fella Festival

I set off on my first adventure into Western Queensland this month to perform at the 13th annual Cunnamulla Fella Festival. Headlined by Adam Brand, the festival brought visitors from all over the country into the outback town of Cunnamulla, and with ticket sales increasing from 800 last year to 1100 this year, the festival is growing into one of the region’s biggest events!

I was invited to perform at the festival after a local saw my music video for Stepping Stones and fell in love with the tune, insisting the organisers add me to the lineup. On Friday night, I got to sing the national anthem in the town’s new showground arena as well as hitting the big stage to entertain the crowds during the evening.

I’ve had such a warm welcome from the community of Cunnamulla this past week, I’m sad to leave but the show must go on! I’m off to Melbourne for the next leg of the tour, but there’s nothing quite like the characters you meet in a small town. I’ll be back!
