Dani Young is a Sydney singer-songwriter who discovered her love for country music after moving solo to the Australian outback.
Dani Young has catapulted onto the Australian country music scene, with her debut record Desert Water named a Golden Guitar finalist in 2017 (Australian Country Music Awards). The album of duets with Aboriginal singer Warren H Williams reached #2 on the ARIA Country Albums chart.
Her first solo single, ‘Stepping Stones’ hit #2 on the iTunes Country chart, was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, received UK and US airplay while the music video was featured on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel top 30 chart.
Young’s country version of ‘Keep On Loving You’, originally by REO Speedwagon, was named amongst the Top 15 Cover Songs on Australia’s Country Music Television, and aired during Channel Nine’s Today Show.
In 2020, she became a livestream queen when her tour plans got cancelled. She runs a weekly country music trivia show called Celebrity Country Music Wiz, as well as a weekly country music talk show, The Midday Muster with Dani Young, where she began writing songs live on air using the audience comments as lyrics.
She self-released several songs in 2020, including making her own music videos, and plans to release her debut EP in the next few months.
